meet Dr. Balacich
Dr. Balacich is a residency trained therapeutic Optometrist with comprehensive training in the diagnosis and medical management of ocular disease . She is committed to excellence in delivering optometric care to patients of all ages.
She received her Bachelor of Science degree and minor in chemistry from Wagner College in 2009 . She went on to pursue her Doctorate of Optometry at the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2013 graduating with clinical honors and completed an advanced track program in Pediatrics and Vision therapy.
Dr. Balacich completed a postdoctoral residency at the Brooklyn/ St. Albans Veterans Affair hospital specializing in ocular disease and primary care.
She practices full scope primary eye care. This includes annual comprehensive eye examinations consisting of contact lens exams and the management of ocular conditions such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, dry eye syndrome, post-operative cataract care and ocular emergencies.
Dr. Balacich grew up in Brooklyn New York and moved to Middletown New Jersey in high school. She enjoys spending every moment that she can with her husband and three little ones , traveling , DIY-ing and home renovating/ decorating. She finds great pleasure in serving the community where she grew up and welcomes all new patients, existing patients and children. She looks forward to meeting all of you!

Dr. Balacich did such a thorough exam. She took her time and talked to me about all my concerns. She has studied eye diseases extensively which made me feel very secure that (me) as a senior, she would be able to diagnose any problem i might have. Also her assistant was helpful and friendly. A good experience and I highly recommend this new practice.
Very blessed to have been seen today. Dr. Balancich along with her staff are warm and welcoming. They want to know the person and care for them. I’m very thankful how my visit went and look forward to the follow up.
Everything about the eye exam was great! The office is gorgeous and Dr. Balacich and her medical assistant were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. Dr. Balacich was very thorough with her exam and took her time to get things just right! would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a new eye doctor!
I’ve been a patient of Dr. Denise for a very long time, and she is the only person who not only takes the time to give me a very thorough exam, but also refuses to take anything less than perfect when fitting my eyes for contacts and glasses. She is by far the best.
Today was my first eye exam in my life! I happen to see Dr. Balacich had just opened her own practice on a local Facebook page. So I made an apt.
Well let me tell you! Everything was great! I got my confirmation call, and was told I can even come in earlier for my scheduled apt! (Win,win!) Came in, first off: place is absolutely gorgeous inside! Front desk was super nice and so helpful. They even have a eyeglass boutique IN office!
I felt so good walking out, and more educated on my eyes since I’ve never gotten an exam before. 10/10 recommend Dr. Balacich/Navesink eye!
